Successful move to new premises

We finally moved into our new business premises last Thursday. It’s fantastic to have so much space. We were becoming so cramped in the previous office.

Here everyone has room to breathe, Nicki has her own area to organise as she would like, the receptionists have bigger, roomier desks, Jean has her own corner from which she can be the mistress of all she surveys, and Jennie and Howard have a separate office again.

Everyone seems happy, there’s a good vibe going on. Here we have room to grow and that’s just what we plan to do!

It’s not just about the space though! We have increased our download capacity by 6 times, meaning that VoIP is clearer and WebPages open more quickly. Which helps us deliver the best possible service to our clients and our client’s customers. Our virtual receptionists can operate more comfortably and more speedily, so we can give everyone the service they want.

The area is much quieter too, although not every office can have a genuine steam train station outside the door, and the Black Prince does have his charms, but the crowds in the summer made parking a nightmare and the trains would occasionally let off steam rather too loudly. Here, although we are on a business park, there is no loud industry around. On the day we moved in we watched a white horse ridden down our road and there are deer on the field behind us.

Moving day went really well, with thanks to Phil and Sean from Good Moves, and Jason from J J Reynolds who put together the cabling for the systems, everything went according to plan (with the exception of the BT lines – see the BT diaries). We had set up a pilot office and were taking calls at 8.30 am in the new office without missing a beat. Half the staff manned the phones and the others came in for an extra shift to help with the moving. By Monday morning the office was shipshape and these photos were taken on Tuesday morning, two and a half working days after we moved in. So a very big thanks you to all of them for going the extra mile, but that is what they do every day.
